• Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park at 3370 LaFayette Road, Fort Oglethorpe , GA 30742.. Pvt. I. H. Tate (15th Alabamba Infantry) fought here. Nearby is the site of Reed's Bridge, where some of the fiecest fighting of the Battle of Chickamauga took place and near where Sarah Ann Lowry-Reed (mother of Mark Lawry) nursed wounded Confederate soldiers, including Gen. Ben Hardin Helm, the brother-in-law of President Abraham Lincoln.
