May 2: The Richardson Telephone Company is chartered by the State of Texas.
October 12: Sam P. Harben publishes first issue of The Richardson Echo. About this same time, The Richardson Register ceases publication.
December 11: Sam P. Harben purchases Lot 17, Block 5 from Dr. W. E. Rucker, to which location he moves the Harben Drugstore, previously at Lot 8, Block 4. (Dallas County, Texas Deed Book 273, pp. 372-3.)

July 5: Thomas "Newt" Harris purchases Lot 13, Block 4, on Smith Street from C. F. Stratton and M. W. Lowery, where, presumably, he opens a barbershop that he operates until 1906. (Dallas County, Texas Deed Book 307. P. 366.)

April 5: On his way to Dallas, President Theodore Roosevelt's special train stops for a few moments at the depot in Richardson, so that he can deliver some brief remarks to an awaiting throng of citizens.

March 6: Dr. R. P. Harben buys Lot 14, Block 4, where sons Jess and Oliver operate a grocery store until 1909. (Dallas County, Texas Deed Book 347. P. 605.)
April 16: After selling Lot 13, Block 4 on Smith Street, "Newt Harris" buys Lot 12, Block 4 from F. P. Olcott, where Harris opens a barbershop that he operates until 1947. (Dallas County, Texas Deed Book 440, p. 47 and Deed Book 432, p. 183.)
November 29: Sam P. Harben buys Lot 16, Block 4 (next door to Harben's drugstore) from Henry and Katie Pistole. (Dallas County, Texas Deed Book 392, p. 201.)

February 15, 1907: J. E. Day buys Lots 15 and 16, Block 5, from Sam P. Harben. (Dallas County, Texas Deed Book 391, p. 405.)
September 5: H&TC demolishes original depot and builds a new one on the opposite (north) side of Smith Street (now East Main).

July 1: Richardson becomes a stop on the new Texas Traction Company's Interurban line from Dallas to Denison.
