Like its counterpart on the eastern shore of the park, this entrance structure, located on West Lawther Drive just off Mockingbird Lane, is built of sandstone blocks. Art-Deco style letters made of metal spell out the name of the park.
Although it closely resembles the East Lawther portal constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, this portal is a 3/4 sized replica, built about 1998 with privately provided funds.
