The Gilliland Family
The Gilliland Family By Steven R. Butler I am related to the Gilliland family by virtue of the marriage of my great-grandfather William Newton Jenkins to Emmerine Morrison, who was the daughter of Ada Ann (Richardson) Morrison, who was the daughter of Letitia (Gilliland) Richardson, who was the daughter of James Gilliland. I am also descended from the same James Gilliland through his daughter Sarah Sally Gilliland, who married Samuel H. Morrison, father of Isaac F. Morrison, who was the father of the above-named Emmerine Morrison. As a result, it can be said that I am "double Gilliland."
