In May 1914, work began on this red-brick school, in which classes were first held on December 1, 1914. The cost of construction was $15,000, a large sum for the time. It was the only school in Richardson until 1953, when the Richardson Independent School Distict (RISD) opened a new Richardson High School nearby on Abrams Road. Since 1960, the building has served as the RISD Administration Building. LOCATION: 400 S. Greenville Avenue (Google Maps)
