Return to Home Page Historic Sites in or near Richardson Until recently, both the city and citizens of Richardson were not particularly good about preserving tangible evidence of their community's past. Two of the most important structures, the original 1873 H&TC train depot and the 1909 Interurban depot were demolished, apparently without anyone raising any objection, many years ago. Gone too are many of the beautiful old 19th and early 20th century homes that once lined the streets of the city's original core, as well as most of the earliest businesses. That being said, there are still some traces of the past here and there, but you have to know where to look. This guide will help you find them.
