Dallas Remembers: The 50th Anniversary
November 22, 2013
All the photos on this page were taken on Friday afternoon, November 22, 2013--the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy (and an unseasonably cold, rainy day)--at Dallas' Dealey Plaza where an official ticket-only commemorative event was held earlier in the day by the City of Dallas. Afterwards, many more thousands of people from Dallas and around the world poured into the area either to learn about or to recall and reflect on a painful national trauma that those of us who were alive on that day will never forget.
